We've been in business continuously since 1983. In January 1984 we incorporated as "Tour Italy, Inc.", and from 1989 until this year we did business as (dba) "Italy Adagio". As of this year (2019) we are doing business as "Roam in Italy".

WHAT DO YOU DO?

We plan your ideal Italian travel experience., based on your Italy vision, your budget, and the number of days available to you.
Your Itinerary – We build your day-by-day itinerary based on where you want to go, what you want to see, and what you want to do. And based on over three decades of planning (and leading) tours throughout Italy, we know how much time to spend in each locale plus how to get the most from your Italian experience. Recommendations – We recommend the best-situated and most comfortable accommodations in your budget range; the most efficient ways to see, do, and fully enjoy your "must see and do" list; fabulous little-known and off-the-beaten-path treasures; the finest local guides; in-Italy transportation that best suits your itinerary needs and your comfort level; and more... Reservations – We will give you detailed written information that will enable you to make your various in-Italy reservations easily and quickly. However, if you prefer, we will be glad to handle reservations for you. (If we make reservations on your behalf, there is a separate, additional fee of $20 per reservation. WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR YOUR FULL ITINERARY PLANNING?

Part I – We learn your interests (art? adventure? the people? food & wine? etc.), what things you specifically want to see and do, and your preferred style(s) of travel.
1 – A preliminary, get-acquainted phone call – anywhere from 5 minutes to a half hour – at your convenience. 2 – When you sign up for our Full Itinerary Planning service, you will receive our specially prepared Questionnaire, which will help us get a fuller picture of your interests and preferences, "must-haves", "must-not-haves", travel goals/vision, and budget. 3 – When you complete the Questionnaire, you return it to us. Part II – We provide you with the Information. 4 – A few days after you return the completed questionnaire to us, we will send you an email with your custom-made day-by-day itinerary. Here is what it will include.
6 – If necessary, we'll prepare and send you a revised itinerary addressing your comments. |
DO YOU EVER DO GROUP TOURS?
|
Yes. Since our founding we've done close to 60 group tours in Italy, about 20% of them private. Group tours were, in fact, our primary focus. Today, though, we are happy to do group tours on request for affinity groups. Some examples: families, business associates, artists, members of a faith community, fellow school alumni, or simply folks who enjoy doing things together. Interested? Contact us.

DO YOU PLAN OR LEAD TRIPS TO COUNTRIES OTHER THAN ITALY?

No. We stick to what we love, know, and do best – Italy! This is one of the reasons so many guests return to us time and again.

DO YOU HELP WITH AIR RESERVATIONS?
|
No. We recommend that you make air reservations online or with a travel agent.
|
WHEN SHOULD WE START PLANNING MY/OUR TRIP TO ITALY?
|
We suggest that you contact us as far in advance as possible so that you’ll have the best choices of hotels that are just right for you, the best activity reservations, and the best guides. Most of our travelers start planning 6-12 months in advance.

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
|
We accept payment by personal check, bank check, certified check or – through PayPal – by credit card, debit card, or your PayPal account. (Please note: Our fees are calculated without factoring in what PayPal may charge us when you use your credit or debit card through them – normally about 3%. If you do want to use PayPal, you are responsible for those charges. If we are charged for that, we will add those expenses to your final invoice.)

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE TO CANCEL MY ITINERARY PLANNING OR WITHDRAW FROM A TOUR IN-PROGRESS?
